This section contains some tutorials explaining how to compile and install Apache & PHP on several Unix flavours.
Unlike most tutorials you may find on the web, these ones do not only explain how to build Apache and PHP, but also how to build every component and library they depend on. By following the methods exposed here, you will easily build self-contained packages, ready for deployment, with no dependency except the base system libraries (ideal for ISPs, server farms, and/or NAS architectures).
I consider these documents as very reliable as everything you will find here
has been tested in full scale and the resulting packages currently run on several dozens of servers in a large company. In order to keep these documents as reliable as possible, please
keep me informed of any problem you may meet when using them (post a comment or drop me a mail, I reply to every message I receive). When everything
has run fine for you, please post a small comment with a short description of your architecture, it will also help.
I generally update these tutorials every 3 to 6 months, in order to reference only some recent stable versions for every components.
